South Fork Trip

Well, it's time to add something for dudes again. Amy and I were on our way home from California and my brother called wanting to know if I wanted to go fishing. Dumb question because he knows I can't say no to a fishing trip. So he and I took off and went up to fish the South Fork.

I love the trips were I can fish with my brother and father, but unfortunately dad couldn't make this trip. We also thought that we were going to be able to get a couple of cousins to come up as well, but I guess they all just wanted Jim and I to have all the fun. We caught lots of fish, saw lots of animals, great scenery and most of all, just enjoyed being on the water.

Lagoon Day with Kiera

So it's been at least ten years or more since the last time we were at Lagoon. We decided that it was time to take Kiera since she loves rollercoasters and all all other rides. We left Ellie behind and just followed Kiera around and did what she wanted. She will tell you that her favorite rides were the train (because she saw all the animals), the swings, and Evil (also known as Wicked). She makes it so fun because she is not afraid of any ride. After the first time on Wicked, all she could say was "Whoa!" She went on Colossus, but we got off, she said she couldn't remember going upside down because it happened too fast.

These boots are made for walkin...

Ellie has learned a new word...SHOES but she says it more like SHOOOOOZ. She is a bit obsessed with them actually and will often pull shoes from our closet or Kieras and bring them to us. If we don't put them on she has a bit of a meltdown. So we comply. This time she found Kiera's rain boots and came and showed us. I had a bit of a flashback of my childhood when I saw her. I vaguely remember seeing a picture of me when I was her age in my dads irrigation boots.

The pool

Well I have been wanting to take Kiera to the pool forever...four years later we actually get it done. Kiera enjoyed herself but not as much as Ellie did. Once Ellie warmed up she was all over the place in the shallow pool. This girl is a major water girl. She doesn't care if it is the bathtub, a bucket of water...she is in it. So needless to say we have to keep a CLOSE eye on her because I think she thinks that she can swim. But it was a good day at the pool! Looking forward to lots of days at the pool next week in California!!!!!

Hair Fairy

So everyone has probably heard of the tooth fairy but few may know about the Hair Fairy. She or he (we really don't know) frequents our house often, if not nightly. Well last night the Hair Fairy struck again...and little miss Ellie was the victim. My mother claims the Hair Fairy was a frequent visitor to my bedroom when I was little. I will search for some evidence of that and attempt to post it.
