Christmas 2009 Highlights

I thought I would do my best as to taking you through the Crosbie Christmas Highlights since I haven't posted since Halloween.
Here are the two girls decorating the tree. Kiera stayed on the stool while Ellie ran back and forth and grabbed the ornaments to give to her sister. The stool stayed put so needless to say the front part of our tree was fully decorated. And those of you that know I have a touch of OCD know that it drove me crazy but it was so cute that I lasted about 3-4 days before I rearranged everything and balanced it out.

We spent Christmas Eve at Jim and Amanie's house. Everyone was there except for Jenni's family who were bound for Disneyland on Christmas day. We were also blessed to have both grandparents there. It ended up being the last time the family was together with Grandpa Crosbie as he passed away on the 29th of December. He enjoyed watching the grandkids dance and sing and the guys carried him in his wheelchair down to the basement where all of the action was. We will miss him but took part in a beautiful funeral and grave side service on Saturday.
Bonnie and Brent gifted everyone with a Christmas book and ornament and we all exchanged books through a game that involved reading the Night before Christmas. Jeff received the best book, compliments of his brother, see below. The kids also got their pajamas that night. Santa was able to drop them off at the back door...mysteriously!

Riding the Ponderosa Bull

It was another wild night at Grandpa Smith's Birthday party. Every year the family gets together and celebrats his birthday by playing Bunko (sp?). Kohn's family had a bull made that the kids could play on. I couldn't get Ellie on it but Kiera agreed to get on. I am not sure she made it 8 seconds dad but she will keep trying. I was unable to upload Kiera's vidoe but this video is of Jeff's cousins son Bode. He is obsessed with bullriding, he even has the outfit! Love it.

Here are some pictures I took before we left for Grandpa's birthday party, I dressed them in their matching sweaters!

Funny Ellie

Ellie is at such a fun age. Lately if you ask her what her name is she will respond, "Trouble." She loves to play hide and seek. She likes to be the seeker and stand against the wall and count. She also likes to be the hider and also stand against the wall. As long as she can't see herself apparently she believes that you can't see her either. The picture of her in her car seat is of when we went through the drive through car wash. She was not quite sure about how much fun it was. When she would get really scared she would duck down deeper into her coat like a turtle.

Primary Program

Kiera loves when the primary program comes around. She loves to memorize her part. This is a picture of her with the sign that we had in her room for so long to help her memorize her part. She did a great job.

Snowshoeing

Heather Cairns, Utah State's soccer coach and I hit the Juniper Trail before Christmas. Lynaye Stone, one of my new co-workers came along as well. I hadn't been snowshoeing for years and forgot how much I loved it. It was so nice to get above the bad air that has settled in Cache Valley. I look forward to going again!
